Landfill Engineering
With the introduction of new legislation particularly IPPC and the Landfill Directive, public awareness of the environment and a general desire to improve on current landfilling design and operation practices. Construction Quality Assurance is a key element in ensuring liner, drainage and capping systems meet the planning and licensing requirements and we operate a detailed Quality Assurance system to ensure compliance. This includes auditing raw materials, supervision of installation and preparation of Quality Assurance reports. We undertake geotechnical assessments of natural materials and on site testing during construction.
We are able to provide a dedicated, professional team at all stages of development and in particular provide resident engineers and construction quality assurance professionals to ensure landfill construction progresses in accordance with design.
With the increasing emphasis on risk assessment at all stages of feasibility design and operations we offer a comprehensive service in this area including use of risk assessment software and ground and groundwater modelling.
