MLM’s involvement in the frist phase of this major £1billion regeneration for social and private housing comprised Building Services, Geotechnical, Civil and Structural Engineering services, as well as specialist investigation and remediation strategies.
Key Features:
- The size and complex nature of the project demanded careful coordination between adoptable roads, drainage, landscaping, vehicle access, service zones, plant rooms, downstand beams and specialist cladding requirements.
- Excavation depths needed to be kept to a minimum to keep project costs down.
- Our Geotechnical team provided comprehensive geotechnical analysis and piling design, along with remediation and waste management strategies.
- The facility within Revit Structures to produce unlimited sections through the model in a very short period enabled MLM’s Multidisciplinary team to check coordination issues at all locations easily, prior to finalising the drawings.
- Once the 3D model was created we exported the model to CSC Orion for detailed design, reducing design times significantly.
