The scheme comprises 232 units, 128 units for hospital key-workers and 104 units for general needs and shared ownership. The proposed buildings include seven blocks of 3 to 8 storey flats and rows of 2/3 storey terraced houses.
Ground conditions were variable across the site and we undertook extensive investigations to enable different foundation solutions to be considered for each block. Foundations varied from piles to pads/strips. Localised remediation was required at the site, which was designed and validated by MLM.
Key Features:
- Contemporary balconies with vertical sides zigzagging up the facade.
- Roof gardens.
- Concrete frames structures on piled/pad foundations.
- CHP community heating system and PV array.
