MLM were commissioned by Osborne Rail to provide GRIP Stage 5 design services for the platform refurbishment at Ramsgate Railway Station, undertaken as part of the Network Rail Operational Property Framework South.
MLM procured and directed the site investigations, including topographical surveying and existing drainage system CCTV surveying on-site. The design incorporated the new platform pavement construction for each of the four platforms, compliant with Network Rail requirements, overcoming challenges presented by the existing characteristics of the station. General Arrangement drawings, construction details and a Specification were produced for these works, via the Technical Approval of non-complex works form procedure, all to satisfactory sign-off by Network Rail.
