MLM Consulting Engineers were appointed to provide professional design services to underpin living wing walls displaying vertical cracking adjacent to the bridge adjustment.

Following detailed SI results MLM reported to the client an alternative, more appropriate, design solution. The design scheme to separate the wing walls to accommodate seasonal movement was subsequently adopted by Network Rail and implemented for construction.
