This project has provided Ipswich School, an independent co-educational school with a new building for year 3 to year 6 pupils.
As well as the eight classrooms, there is a multi-purpose hall, and specialist teaching rooms for ICT, Music, Art and Science. The project was constructed within the curtilage of the school complex.
Key Features:
- Thermal modelling of the building allowed a mix of passive and mechanical ventilation system to be incorporated within the building, reducing thermal overheating
- Underfloor heating with enhanced zone control maximises available floor areas and provides control options for ‘Out of Hours’ occupation and building letting
- Automatic lighting control systems
- Sympathetic external lighting solution to adjacent residential area
