For several years MLM have been the Approved Inspector on the major refurbishment of Devonshire Square, which included part of the ground floor office area being transformed to retail.

Through the successful delivery of the scheme, MLM were appointed for the fit out of Devonshire Terrace, a bar & restaurant designed around the Bauhaus theory of ‘utilisation of all space’. The external space is covered by an ETFE roof canopy, optimising the potential of the open area, yet preserving the fire integrity of the surrounding offices.

Other key challenges included access for all and means of escape, which MLM advised and negotiated to the satisfaction of the client and the building regulations.
