The design focuses on ensuring that all facilities are fully accessible, while including specialist areas such as a sensory room and hydrotherapy pool to address specific special needs.

The school is designed to be welcoming to the community, allow its key features, such as halls, pool and external pitches to be accessible by the community out-of-hours whilst remaining secure. Flexible spaces such as interview, meeting and parents room are also available to the community without coming through the main school.
