Brook Street

Brook Street is an office building providing 24,000 sq ft of floor space, behind a retained façade of red brick dating back to 1884 and some stone work dating back to the early 1900s.

The key challenges on this project were the site constraints and façade, that whilst not listed, was viewed to make a positive contribution to the conservation area of Mayfair, and was therefore required to be maintained and repaired.

MLM Building Control worked closely with the architects and contractor to ensure the building could achieve its maximum potential in terms of accessibility, specification and flexibility of floor space.

The building is largely steel construction; in-situ cast reinforced concrete floors with a brick and double glazed façade, and a slate roof.
