A town centre development with limited access and working space the Princes Street project was a new office building providing accommodation over 4 floors. The site was an irregular shape due to existing buildings abutting the site which required careful consideration during the design and construction stages. Restrictions on surface water disposal also lead to on site storage and attenuation which provided a challenge again for both the design and construction phases.
Key Features:
- Piled foundations with cantilevered ground beams in close proximity to adjacent structures.
- Concrete frame with flat slab floor construction.
- Lightweight steel frame upper floor and roof.
- High spec Architectural finishes including stonework & polished block requiring bespoke fixing details.
