20 Gresham Street is an 8 storey office block providing 32,000 m² of floor space. The complexity of design can be seen internally as well as externally, be it through the distinctive colouration and its curvilinear form at roof level or the 18 metre spans between the internal columns, which accentuates the sense of unimpeded space.

As well as the structural challenges, MLM worked closely with the team to overcome fire safety, as the building incorporates a six storey atrium which runs through the compartment floors without any fire resistance.

The project was an overwhelming success, which has led to MLM’s involvement in more than £20m of CAT B fit out.
