MLM Employees Take Part In King Sturge Property Triathlon 2009

On Friday, 3 July, Shelley Davis, Karl Sivertsen and Iain Farquharson from MLM’s Building Services took part in the King Sturge Property Triathlon at Eton rowing lake.  The event is now in its third year and has already firmly established itself as one of the top five UK triathlons by size.  The ‘Three Non Blondes’ entered as a relay with Shelley taking on the 750m open water swim, Karl the 20k cycle and Iain the 5k run.

There was a mix of athletes in the 2000 plus entrants - some had very expensive equipment, while others had obviously just dusted their bike off the night before (Karl). This made for a good mix of people and the atmosphere was very upbeat and friendly. Shelley was the star of the day with a highly respectable time of 18 mins 02 secs for the 750m swim. Karl then followed on with the 20k bike ride in 47 mins 02 secs and Iain finished off with running 5k in 28 mins 07 secs.

Together they have currently raised £360 for The Children’s Trust and Orchid.
