Changes to Building Regulation Part G
Revised Building Regulation Part G (Sanitation, hot water safety and water efficiency) and its accompanying Approved Document comes into force on 6 April 2010.
Headline changes are:
- A water efficiency target of 125 litres / person / day for dwellings
- Notification to Building Control the dwelling’s potential water consumption
- Thermostatic controls to bath taps
- Updated guidance on unvented hot water systems and storage
- “Wholesome water” to be supplied for drinking, washing and food preparation
