EcoHomes Update

BRE have notified all assessors that a new scheme (BREEAM Domestic Refurbishment) is due to be released July 2012, and this will replace the current EcoHomes assessments.

It is unclear if a submission deadline will be imposed on all refurbishment projects, details on this matter are to be released closer to the BREEAM Domestic Refurbishment launch date. If a deadline is imposed and projects are not submitted and cleared through the EcoHomes scheme by this set date, this will result in the site not qualifying for a final certificate under this scheme. Failure to obtain a certificate could result in your project being denied funding and/or planning permission.
