The seventh game of the season was off to a very cold start with the threat of snow not far away, however it held off and even the sun made an appearance for a few holes, which only made it feel colder when it went it! The course was in good condition but temporary greens due to the temperature which made for some interesting putting.

There was some remarkably good play considering and as can be seen all change at the top of the leader board with 3 new names going in this round alone. Although I must try to get to more MacMillan Wright meetings and hope some golfing tips rub off!!

The nearest the pin looked a fairly poor show until Tim Gowing casually knocked the ball in the right direction (obviously where the rest of us had gone wrong). Great shot Tim!
The longest drive was won by Greg Hills staying yards ahead of the competition. Finally the day was won by a great score of 43 points by Claire Butterworth (also our first female guest) and I am sure we will be seeing her again in the playoffs – although who can tell, but it is a very good score. Well Done Claire!!

As for our usual 'internal' competition, the format this time is a winning team will get 3 points, second 1 and last nothing. This month a close round but the Challengers taking first place with Structures just taking second place.

So after round 4:
Structures – 4 points
Building Services – 8 points
Challengers – 12 points

Our next round is being held on 15th March 2010

Again this year the top nine scorers will be invited back for the playoff which is being held on 12th July 2010 (subject to confirmation).

Our golf games are held at Hintlesham Golf Course. Please view their website for more information about the course.
