The fourth round of the season and a cold start but short lived, by the fourth or fifth hole the sun was shining and the rest of the day was sunny and warm – October? The course was in good condition and even the greens were better than they were last time.
A great day but scores much more sensible this month with only one person threatening the top nine and just knocking Simon Perilli out of the play off zone.
The nearest the pin was not won by anyone the light headwind fooling most of us and bunkers were the order of the day.
The longest drive was won by Michael Hodson with a great drive set in the first team out which no one else thereafter could beat.
The overall winner of the day was Gassen Sockalingum achieving a great score of 36 points (knocking Simon out of the play offs by count back!). Well done to Gassen.
As for our 'internal' competition (a winning team gets 3 points, second 1 and last nothing). This time very close but another win by Structures with Building Services coming second.
So after round 4:
Structures – 8 point
Building Services – 5 points
Challengers – 3 points
Our next round is being held on 21st November 2011.
The Play-off is provisionally booked to be held on the 16th July 2012.
Our golf games are held at Hintlesham Golf Course. Please view their website for more information about the course.
